UzLITI Engineering has started corporate English courses. Their starting was dictated by the need to expand the professional and personal skills of employees, as well as to improve communication in the multinational environment of the company's team.
“Language learning is organised in three groups of different levels, where students will be able to acquire language from scratch as well as improve their existing skills”, said Shakhnoza Umarova, Lead Specialist for Personnel Training and Development. “The courses will be held three times a week for three months under the guidance of experienced teachers from the ERIELL prof education corporate training centre. At the end of the training semester, the students will take exams, and based on the exam results will continue training at the next level”.
The start of the courses was preceded by a period of preparation, during which the interest of the employees was assessed and the training programme was developed.
“At the end of last year, we held a preliminary registration of attendees, which showed a high level of interest," says Shakhnoza Umarova. “More than ninety people expressed their wish to join the courses, and they were divided into two streams - the first stream has just started classes, and the second will start in three months”.
Dmitry Smekhov, Chief Specialist of the Instrumentation Department, is one of those who enrolled in the elementary program:
"Mastering foreign languages is not just trendy, but also crucial nowadays. I believe that learning English will be of great benefit to me, from improving my ability to communicate with colleagues to enhancing my career prospects”.
