ON GOING PROJECT


UzLITI Engineering is developing a number of majorprojects including the construction of the MTO GasChemical Complex in the Karakul district of the Bukhara region.


Alexander Maschakevich, the Project Chief Engineer, told us about the ongoing work.

Since 2021, our engineering center has been focusing on the following scope of main tasks for this project: the development and review of the basic project, development of detailed documentation for offsites, utilities and process units and areas, as well as the engineering support for procurement, and designsupervision.


Currently, 219 specialists are involved in the project, and as of the end of February 2024, the following indicatorshave been achieved: the progress status for offsites and utilities is 33%, for process - more than 50%. BODs have been developed for all process units, HMBs - for 32 out of 37 units (86.5%), P&IDs - for 31 out of 37 process units (84%), including  P&ID review and HAZOPpreparation for 27 units.


In addition, 39 out of 41 MRs (95%) and 125 out of 131MDS for mechanical equipment (95%) have been issued for bidding. And 30 (23%) were issued in final revision (for procurement). Vendor documentation for long lead items is being finalized (85.1% documents received). The review of the vendor documentation for sub-critical equipment (P2) has started.


For the piping part of the project, the review of the 30% 3D model has been completed. Equipment layouts have been developed for 29 out of 37 units (78%). Material Take Off has been issued in revision one and is being developed in revision two.


In terms of civil part, the foundations for long lead itemsare being finalized (70%). The total volume of reinforced concrete work released for construction is 590.1 m3. The development of the foundations for the static equipment (tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, etc.) has started, and the design documentation for the racks for the interconnections, and the utility buildings is being developed.
