Construction of chemical production plant for complex mineral fertilizers in Samarkand region

Construction of a modern environmentally friendly chemical production plant for complex mineral fertilizers within the territory of Samarkandkimyo JSC.

The project is aimed to provide for agricultural sector demand for complex mineral fertilizers and create at least 250 new work places.

Facility design capacity:

  • Production of sulfuric acid — 800 000 tpa
  • Production of phosphoric acid — 280 000 tpa as P2O5
  • Production of MAP (G) (N: 12, P2O5: 52) — 525 ktpa
  • Power generating unit capacity is is 26 MW

The following units and systems are included in SCP:

Sulfuric acid production unit, consisting of the following stages and facilities (item 101 on PP)

  1. Suplhur melting section
  2. Sulphur burning and conversion section
  3. Drying and absorption section
  4. Heat recovery section

The unit capacity is 800 000 tpa of sulfuric acid as per GOST 2184-2013 with a concentration of 98.5%.

Phosphoric acid production unit, consisting of the following stages and facilities (item 102 on PP)
  1. Reaction section
  2. Filtration section

The unit capacity is 200 000 tpa of extraction phosphoric acid (as 100% Р2О5) with a concentration of at least 24%.

Granular MAP production unit, consisting of the following stages (pos. 103 on PP)

  1. Section for neutralization and concentration of slurries
  2. Granulation and drying section

The unit capacity is 300 000 tpa of granular MAP as per GOST 18918-85 with a mass fraction of total nitrogen (N) 12 ± 1% and a mass fraction of assimilable phosphates of at least 52%.

Powder MAP production unit, consisting of the following stages (pos. 104 on GP) for the future

  1. Section for neutralization and concentration of slurries
  2. Section for spraying and drying

The unit capacity is 100 000 tpa of powder MAP with a mass fraction of total nitrogen (N) 10% and a mass fraction of assimilable phosphates of at least 46%.
