In the first half of February, two "Open Days" were held for students of Tashkent State Technical University (TSTU) and Almalyk branch of NUST MISiS.

“These universities were selected intentionally," said Shakhnoza Umarova, Lead Specialist for Personnel Training and Development. “The company is currently engaged in a number of metallurgy projects, and needs specialists in this field.”

Traditionally, a presentation on the activities of UzLITI Engineering was organised for young people. During the presentation, the company's employees told the students about the specifics of their work and their career paths in the company.

“Today, 14 fourth-year students of the Faculty of Geological Exploration and Mining Metallurgy had the opportunity to get acquainted with the company's activities," said Khodzhiakbar Sultanov, a Lecturer at TSTU. “I would like to note that all the students approached this event with great interest, as they will soon receive their diplomas and have to decide on their future.”

Other participants of the "Open Day" were more than 20 students of the Almalyk branch of NUST MISiS, including several who had already graduated from university and had a specific goal - not only to get acquainted with UzLITI Engineering, but also to consider the possibility of real employment in the company.

“Last year I graduated from the Faculty of Mining Engineering. Mineral Concentration,” said Sogdiana Pardabaeva. “During the summer I did an internship at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant, where I got to know the production processes and the work of this huge company. However, I am more interested in working as a design engineer, so I came to the event with pleasure, having heard a lot of positive feedback about UzLITI Engineering.

It should be noted that the programme of the event was updated that day. The organisers conducted a test of engineering thinking with the students, which is part of the training programme for work in the company.

At the end of the event, the students received souvenirs with the logo of UzLITI Engineering.
